About Jessica

Hi!  I’m Jessica.  I feel blessed to have experienced many places in the world and to be able to interact with people from many different walks of life.  I work in the field of education, teacher preparation to be exact, which is perfect for me since I love being involved in and surrounded by learning.  When I was 23, I lived on an off-the-grid organic farm in a tent for a year in an attempt to figure out what I wanted to do with my life and, while I did learn a lot about farming, I still was rather lost!  I have been a massage therapist, model, actress, nurse’s aide, bagel maker, and a shoe salesman.  But thank God, 6 years ago I found what I’d been searching for and everything fell into it’s place.   My husband, Emmanuel, is from Brazil and we were recently blessed with the opportunity to spend six months there.   It was amazing to get to spend time with his family, travel around Brazil, and work on improving my Portuguese.

I feel led to connect with people and share my thoughts.  I have spent countless hours filling journals, but since I went back to school 6 years ago I’ve hardly written anything that wasn’t assigned and submitted for grading.  So, now is the time to break that dry spell!  There are so many things going on within and around us.  I am amazed each day by how great our God is and how wonderful it is to have been created for a purpose greater than our own desires.  We have hearts meant for love if we only allow them.  I still am blown away that despite all of my struggles and imperfections, my God loves me anyway.

You are so amazing and you have inspired me to blog too.
I have written so many things, but never thought of blogging. This is nice, it opens us up to our own vunerabilitys and allows God to use us despite ourselves and our weaknesses. Love the name. Fab!

Hi, Just a random question.. how did you get the “share this” feature onto your post? Thanks.. Pastor Greg Laurie Rocks! =)

    • lovemeanyway April 6, 2011 at 10:49 am #

Hi 🙂 Yes, Pastor Greg Laurie does rock!
So, for your question about the “share this” feature: If you are using wordpress.com, when you go to the “add new post” page, below the text box where you write your post is another box called “likes and shares.” In that box, there are two different options to check, if you select “show sharing buttons on this post” then all of the sharing features should appear on your post once you have published it.

      Hope that helps!
